Job Summary

The Commercial Sales Representative will be responsible for soliciting new commercial business and maintaining current commercial accounts by establishing and maintaining a strong business rapport with major, nationwide Design Build Contractors.

Bids, negotiates and assists owners, superintendents, national design build contractors and/or construction managers for contracts for highly specialized commercial construction projects for purchase and installation of all types of overhead doors and loading dock equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with architectural firms, owners, superintendent, national design build contractors to quote and specify proper OHD products and equipment.
  • Negotiate commercial bids and price, and follow up concerning submitted proposals.
  • Interact with OHD regional managers, distributors and contractors to locate professional, highly-skilled installers and manage the installation of OHD product.
  • Supervise projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established plans, specifications, codes, schedules and budgets.
  • Order product and interact with Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal and Credit departments regarding essential customer requirements and timely delivery of product.
  • Remain in contact on a regular basis with all parties concerned with the project (owner, contractor, production facilities) by communicating schedules, plan deviations and project flow.

Requirements:

  • 3 years building development experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in Building Commercial Product industry in Sales position or Account Management.
  • Experience with Door Products a plus.
  • Prior exposure to large construction projects a plus.
