About the Role

Cottage Health is seeking a part-time Educator for our Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine Unit. As a consultant and resource for education and role development, you will play a crucial role in building collaborative partnerships, research through evidence-based practice/quality improvement, and orientation/onboarding of new hires and competency management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs for staff and patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Conduct research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide orientation and onboarding for new hires
  • Manage competency management and evaluation
Requirements
  • CA RN license
  • BSN
  • MSN or Master's in Education preferred
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; AV applications; Ease with Technical applications
  • 5 years recent experience in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
  • ECT experience preferred
  • Unit based education leadership
  • Experience in a defined Educator Role preferred
