Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Business Central for accounting tasks

• Manage Fixed Asset Ledgers for all auctions

• Record transactions and maintain necessary ledgers for subsidiary companies

• Monitor and record monthly intercompany balances

• Review monthly credit card transactions for GL coding accuracy

• Gather supporting documentation for financial statements

• Prepare and enter journal entries

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Estimate and record accruals

• Analyze budget versus actual variances

• Collaborate with general managers during the month-end closing process

• Review accounts payable GL coding for accuracy and authorize weekly payment processing

• Approve On-Demand payments for daily processing

• Work with cardholders to collect completed expense reports and receipt images

• Calculate and file monthly sales and use taxes

• Calculate and file annual state personal property tax

• At the request of the Accounting Manager and Controller, compute various performance metrics, projections, and analyses on a quarterly and monthly basis, and participate in covenant calculations, proformas, and appraisals.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge: Proficient in various computer applications, accrual accounting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation. Demonstrates analytical and logical thinking to draw sound conclusions from data analyses.

• Skills: The Senior Accountant must possess strong mathematical skills and be proficient in spreadsheet preparation, word processing, and the use of a 10-key calculator. Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Abilities: Attention to detail, effective time management to meet deadlines, and strong written communication skills are crucial. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is necessary. The Senior Accountant must be efficient, accurate, and timely in all responsibilities.

• Education: A Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.
