Job Summary:
The Computer Merchant, LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Disaster Recovery Program, you will play a critical role in helping us expand our recovery plans and capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform risk analysis to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with IT Application Owners to publish new and updated recovery plans, ensuring they are clear, concise, and effective.
- Review governance applicable to Disaster Recovery and assist IT Application Owners in applying Disaster Recovery requirements to their applications.
- Review documented recovery plans for completeness and opportunities for improvement, and schedule DR exercises.
- Participate as an observer and scribe during DR testing exercises to document the test scope, timing, success/failure results, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track key performance metrics for the Disaster Recovery Program and assist with reporting to IT Leadership.
Requirements:
- Four plus (4+) years of practical experience in IT Operations.
- Two plus (2+) years of training or practical experience in Disaster Recovery.
- Strong work ethic, great time management, and highly inclusive team player.
- Effective verbal and written communicator, with excellent writing skills.
- Authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
- Previous experience on a Disaster Recovery team in a large organization.
