Job Summary:

The Computer Merchant, LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Disaster Recovery Program, you will play a critical role in helping us expand our recovery plans and capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk analysis to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT Application Owners to publish new and updated recovery plans, ensuring they are clear, concise, and effective.
  • Review governance applicable to Disaster Recovery and assist IT Application Owners in applying Disaster Recovery requirements to their applications.
  • Review documented recovery plans for completeness and opportunities for improvement, and schedule DR exercises.
  • Participate as an observer and scribe during DR testing exercises to document the test scope, timing, success/failure results, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track key performance metrics for the Disaster Recovery Program and assist with reporting to IT Leadership.

Requirements:

  • Four plus (4+) years of practical experience in IT Operations.
  • Two plus (2+) years of training or practical experience in Disaster Recovery.
  • Strong work ethic, great time management, and highly inclusive team player.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator, with excellent writing skills.
  • Authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Previous experience on a Disaster Recovery team in a large organization.
