Job Title: Production Planning Specialist

At QIAGEN, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production planning department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of reagent products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, issue, and control production orders to meet product demand and schedule the movement of parts and production orders through manufacturing.
  • Plan and coordinate the production of intercompany shipments and external customer orders, working closely with the Operations Planning and Production Management teams.
  • Assist with database analysis, maintenance, and master data cleanup activities, and perform routine data entry as required.
  • Implement process improvements and optimize the use of tools that simplify processes and create improved linkages between forecasting, financial, and manufacturing management systems.
  • Ensure timely and efficient acceptance, processing, and shipment of all reagent orders through effective coordination with customer service and sales.
  • Support the creation and review of product-related documentation according to ISO 13485 standards.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvement initiatives in support of Continuous Improvement and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Life Science or Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the life science industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in SAP R3 and/or SAP S4 HANA systems.
  • Background in ISO 13485 preferred.
