Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing to join our nursing leadership team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and resident care.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, policies, and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure that nursing staff is qualified and trained, and that they are providing care in accordance with established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of nursing staff and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to provide comprehensive care to residents.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • A Master of Nursing preferred and a current Connecticut registration/license as a registered nurse in good standing required.
  • Supervisory experience 3-5 years is required.
  • Experience of 3-5 years in a long-term care setting is required.
  • BCLS certified.
  • Strong knowledge of Infection Control/Antibiotic Stewardship practices.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
