About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Math Fellow to join our team at Denver Public Schools. As a Math Fellow, you will play a critical role in providing small group math instruction to our highest needs students, accelerating their academic growth in preparation for college and career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach small groups of students, focusing on math content and developing positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Build a flexible attitude and disposition, accepting, implementing, and growing from feedback.
  • Write and internalize lesson plans to meet the needs of groups of students, following a structured tutorial model.
  • Participate in professional learning to gain important aspects of the role and use grade level lesson plans to support what students are learning in their regular math class.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of a minimum of 48 college credit hours preferred.
  • Background with mathematics content preferred but not required; candidates seeking high school positions must pass a high school math assessment.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Works collaboratively with others on a team, demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills, as well as effective communication skills.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $33,655 ($22.618/hour) paid over 12 months.
  • Work Calendar: 186 work days; school holidays and summer off.
