OVERVIEW


This role focuses on the development and justification of programs aimed at enhancing distribution reliability. The position involves providing engineering and project management support related to reliability, interpreting and analyzing reliability data to identify and implement effective methods and standards that contribute to improved performance in distribution reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collects, correlates, and analyzes outage data to evaluate and propose capital investment projects, programs, and strategies.

2. Aids in the formulation of operational and engineering goals, objectives, budgets, programs, and procedures.

3. Executes detailed and routine engineering tasks involving established calculations, tests, and analyses.

4. Prepares and delivers reports that necessitate self-analysis and recommendations concerning system reliability, compliance, and engineering activities.

5. Provides engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and problem identification to support operational and maintenance functions.

6. Diagnoses and determines the root cause of both momentary and sustained interruptions, recommending corrective measures.

7. Offers technical support and training to personnel in Distribution Operations.


8. Oversees the activities of co-ops, hourly employees, and others as directed during various tasks, including the installation or testing of new equipment and troubleshooting.

9. Available during and after significant outage events to assist in restoration efforts.

10. Regularly reviews assignments to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

11. Plans and manages all activities to maintain a safe workplace.

12. Conducts work in accordance with environmental regulations and guidelines.

13. Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirement:
ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in applying formal engineering training to practical electric distribution engineering tasks. Ability to work autonomously with a high level of integrity and self-direction. A valid driver's license is required.
