Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned Linux/Windows Software Engineer with a strong background in systems programming. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in networking, endpoint development, and software development across Linux, Mac, and Windows platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and enhance client/server and web applications for Network Access Control solutions on both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Investigate customer escalation issues and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address critical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers.
  • Innovate new security features while maintaining existing functionalities.
  • Replicate and analyze customer issues, delivering comprehensive issue descriptions and necessary software code modifications.
  • Enhance software reliability, stability, and overall supportability.
  • Comprehend customer network architecture and propose alternative solutions for improved performance.
  • Employ Kanban development methodology alongside Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Essential Qualifications:
  • 8-12 years of experience in software development or sustaining engineering, particularly in network or endpoint security.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, and Perl.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix development and systems, including scripting, regex, awk, and sed.
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP and various network protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x).
  • Familiarity with configuring network equipment (Switch, Router, Firewall) and low-level network monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based networks and domain management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
