Job Summary:

The Area Manager - Operations Lead will be responsible for directing and coordinating the collection activities of Interstate Class A Interstate CDL Drivers in a geographically dispersed area. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to drivers within assigned areas, ensuring efficient and effective route coverage.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure consistent performance and retention of drivers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including driver performance and operational metrics.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to drivers to improve performance and retention.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including vendor performance and operational metrics.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the water management industry.
  • Valid Class A CDL license required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Farm experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and best practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer applications and systems.
