Job Summary

Fairlife, LLC is a leading nutrition company that creates high-quality, dairy products to nourish consumers. We are seeking a skilled Asset Care Manager to oversee the maintenance of our facility and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the performance and development of maintenance staff in packaging, processing, and utilities areas.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities, including preventative, predictive, breakdown, and overhaul maintenance.
  • Eliminate failures in all maintenance areas.
  • Develop and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including task details and PM durations.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools, such as ultrasonic and vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and tribology.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for technical and operations teams.
  • Support the management of the plant CMMS system and calibration system.
  • Document all schematics, diagram changes, and PLC programming documentation changes.
  • Perform risk assessments and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Consolidate spare parts across the plant to reduce total needed spares.
  • Support regulatory utility records and annual services, including backflow prevention and boiler inspections.
  • Work with contractors and external resources to build a world-class asset care strategy.
  • Collaborate with other departments on RCA/CI strategies and document in the Quality Control platform.
  • Work with engineering, OEMs, and suppliers to perform equipment value engineering or redesign.
  • Establish daily routines and standards for the SME team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Leadership discipline, or 10 years of work experience in a production setting with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team in a food or beverage manufacturing setting.
  • Strong technical background and proven history of leading a talented group of supervisors, mechanics, ICT, engineers, planners, and parts procurement specialists.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and be persistent until a solution is found.
  • Willingness to ask for assistance when the process or next steps are unclear.
  • Subservient leadership style and ability to place the team first.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a sense of urgency and accountability for themselves and the team.
  • Willingness to travel for training and to support other sites as needed.
  • Good communication skills within the department and with all departments outside of maintenance.
Food Safety Requirements
  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer, and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
