Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Accounting and Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of regulatory accounting and analysis to support and prepare regulatory rate proceedings.
  • Regulatory Filing Support: Assist in the preparation and support of tools and analysis used in the Company's rate proceeding filings.
  • Regulatory Filings and Testimony: Prepare regulatory filings and petitions before regulatory bodies, including the Public Service Commissions in all of the Company's jurisdictions.
  • Rate and Revenue Analysis: Prepare and sponsor formal written testimony and data requests relating to all regulatory proceeding filings.
  • Regulatory Strategic Planning: Assist with regulatory strategic planning, and development of rates, programs, and filings within the Company's regulatory proceedings.
  • Regulatory Continuous Improvement: Assist in regulatory continuous improvement projects.
Working Relationships
  • Internal Collaborations: Work closely with Business Unit Personnel, Business Planning, Accounting, Financial Planning, Financial Reporting, Business Development, Internal Audit, Governmental and Legal, Communication and Customer Care teams.
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with PSC Auditors and Staff, OPC Staff, Company External Auditors, Industry Regulatory Personnel and Organizations.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field, with three to five years of experience in performing quantitative and analytical work in a business environment.
  • Regulatory Experience: Preferably have previous regulatory experience in the utility sector.
  • Technical Skills: Have knowledge of company tariffs, rate design, and regulations, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Leadership Qualities: Possess leadership qualities, a high level of initiative, and the ability to be self-directed.
