As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Clinical Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care under the guidance of Providers and the Practice Supervisor. This position serves as the primary contact for patient care within the medical practice, assisting Providers with procedures and conducting routine laboratory tests. The Clinical Lead collaborates closely with Providers to enhance patient outcomes and is responsible for the seamless operation of daily patient care activities, adhering to best practices in clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply levels.
- Manage patient communications, including triaging calls and reviewing test results.
- Assist in patient assessments by recording vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Support Providers during procedures, including administering injections and performing lab tests.
- Coordinate offsite diagnostic tests and manage referrals to specialists.
- Oversee front office tasks and maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
- Commit to enhancing patient satisfaction and safety through diligent care practices.
- Facilitate the onboarding and training of new staff, fostering their professional development.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Act as a resource for clinical staff, addressing any issues that arise during patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting or Practical Nursing program is required. An Associate's Degree or technical certification is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year in a medical office setting as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse is required. Experience as a preceptor is highly valued.
Licensure: LPN licensure is required where applicable.
Certifications: BLS certification is mandatory; CMA or RMA certification is preferred if not an LPN.
Work Schedule: This position typically follows a day shift schedule, with a standard 40-hour work week.
