  • Greets Patients and Families: Greet incoming patients and families in a professional and welcoming manner, assessing their needs and ensuring they are met.
  • Verifies Patient Information: Efficiently updates and verifies patient demographics, insurance, and contact information, and assists patients in completing necessary forms to meet regulatory and billing needs.
  • Schedules Appointments: Promptly schedules appointments utilizing provider templates and scheduling guidelines, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner.
  • Processes Payments: Proactively requests payments from patients on current and past medical services, and receives and processes those payments following appropriate procedures.
  • Supports Administrative Functions: Supports the administrative function of the clinic by working reports, addressing patient concerns, and performing paperwork.
  • Coordinates with Care Teams: Coordinates with other care teams and employees to provide a seamless experience for patients.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional Manner: Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: One year of customer service experience, especially in a hospital or medical office.
  • Problem Solving Ability: Problem solving ability, analytical skills, self-motivated and able to work well in a clinic environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Interacting with Others: Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
  • Operating Equipment: Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • Visual Requirements: See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Physical Activity: Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
