Job Summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and prepare repackaging material and equipment for production runs.
  • Set up and change over packaging equipment for production runs, following work instructions and work standards.
  • Operate packaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Repackage raw material into finished product that meets packaging specifications and quality standards.
  • Work alongside maintenance personnel to resolve mechanical issues.
  • Perform production room and equipment cleans and sanitation.
  • Record and prepare accurate and complete information, using basic mathematical skills.
  • Adhere to 5S principles and guidelines for efficient and effective operations.
  • Participate in technical training, compliance training, and other training required for the operations team.
  • Assist in training new operators.
  • Adhere to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet and/or exceed quality and production goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to promote improved efficiency and effectiveness of the production line.
  • Work in partnership with supporting areas, such as quality, to resolve issues that prevent the operations from achieving its goals.
Requirements
  • Associates degree, completion of a vocational program, or certification in manufacturing operations or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing experience required.
  • One (1) year experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated industry preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use good judgment and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in 5S principles and practices.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
