Position Overview:
CyberSource, a subsidiary of Visa, is recognized as a global frontrunner in eCommerce payment solutions. As one of the earliest payment gateways, CyberSource connects online retailers with payment networks, including Visa.
Currently, CyberSource provides a comprehensive payment management platform tailored for eCommerce businesses, integrating global transaction processing, fraud prevention, and payment security systems.
We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic individual to enhance our Operations 2nd Level Applications team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee robust and scalable infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to interpret business needs and convert them into effective cloud-based operational frameworks.
- Architect, deploy, and refine infrastructure components and services on GCP/AWS, focusing on compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Establish and uphold best practices for application deployment and management across GCP/AWS.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems and applications to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Implement application performance monitoring to proactively identify and address gaps.
- Manage weekly code deployments and automate CI/CD pipelines for streamlined operations.
- Evaluate infrastructure modifications and assess their potential impact on platform performance.
- Serve as a primary contact and advocate for enterprise platform initiatives affecting the service line.
- Assist Customer Support with escalated merchant issues related to applications.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of remote and in-office work. Employees are expected to be present in the office 2-3 designated days each week, as determined by leadership.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 7 years with an Advanced Degree, or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Master's in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years in a highly available Linux environment.
- Extensive experience in architecting and implementing operational infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform/Amazon Web Services.
- Strong command of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to design and optimize scalable, highly available cloud solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Proficient in Shell/Ruby/ReactJS/Python scripting.
- Familiarity with Swarm and Kubernetes architecture and container microservices.
- Comprehensive understanding of Linux systems, databases, and networking concepts.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel (5-10%). The role will be performed in an office setting, necessitating the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
