About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campus Dietitian to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the launch, activation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the health and wellness platform for the University of Alabama's Dining Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and wellness programs, including tabling events, food samplings, cooking demos, lunch and learns, health fairs, and guest speaker events.
  • Build relationships with clients, organization department heads, and subgroups/community groups to align Bama Dining with overall campus wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to engage the student population through social media and pop-up events, and support meal plan sales by assisting students with choosing plans that work for their personal needs.
  • Serve as a preceptor for student interns and provide guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Partner with the culinary team to support menu planning and development for multiple locations, including residential, retail, and catering, and oversee compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Lead the culinary team in understanding special dietary needs, including dietary restrictions related to food allergies or intolerances, and lifestyle diets due to personal preferences or religious reasons.
  • Conduct occasional one-on-one and/or group nutrition consultations, applying Medical Nutrition Therapy and following the Nutrition Care Process for charting during consultations.
  • Maintain registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure, and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian status in Alabama.
  • Food safety knowledge with ServSafe certification and food allergy knowledge with AllerTrain certification.
  • At least one year of experience in K12 or higher education food service, preferably with knowledge of food production systems, nutrition analysis software, electronic medical recording, and social media platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, customers, and support staff.
