Job Summary

The Retail Manager position is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and entrepreneurial leader who is constantly seeking innovative ways to conduct business. Our Retail Managers are responsible for the successful retail/cafeteria operation of Morrison Healthcare, overseeing daily administrative and operational tasks, handling staff management, managing financials, maintaining market knowledge, and coordinating marketing efforts to maximize revenues and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks, ensuring seamless execution of retail/cafeteria operations.
  • Handle all aspects of staff management, including hiring, training, and development of hourly team members.
  • Manage all financials, including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Maintain knowledge of the market place and trends, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the Business needs to maximize revenues and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage cost controls and control expenditures for the account, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s), maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Purchase and manage inventory, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team, driving innovation and excellence in food service.
  • Act as the direct liaison with the client, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience.
  • Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations.
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, retirement, or related environment desirable.
  • Knowledge of retail, food, and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, the Internet, and other necessary computer programs.
  • ServSafe Certified.
