Warehouse Operations Specialist

WB Warehousing & Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to manage incoming deliveries at our warehouse. This role involves verifying and signing for shipments, unloading and storing items, processing returns, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and sign for shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Unload and store received items in designated areas, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items, following established procedures.
- Update inventory records with received items using RF scanning equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate with vendors regarding delays or issues, resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory, providing data for analysis and decision-making.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move items throughout the warehouse.
- Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders for shipping, and prepare materials for shipment, meeting customer expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, contributing to the success of the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reach truck experience is a plus, with the ability to safely operate equipment and navigate the warehouse.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift and move heavy items, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and organizational skills, with a focus on data entry and record-keeping.
- Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with a focus on mutual respect and open communication.
- Exceptional customer service orientation, with a focus on meeting customer expectations and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English, with a focus on clear communication and documentation.
