ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join our growing team of support staff to provide full-time immediate on-site technical and project support in a manufacturing environment at a federal site in Indian Head, MD.

This position will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Chantilly and Arlington offices.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project and production scheduling tools using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

You will work with management, engineers, operators, technicians, and vendors to coordinate project and production goals.

You will analyze program budgets and spend plans, addressing concerns, and communicating potential issues to management.

You will analyze and present project and manufacturing performance data and conclusions to management.

You will schedule, lead, and assist project and production planning meetings.

You will review, compile, and distribute documents and status updates to stakeholders.

You will ensure raw materials, intermediates, and products meet necessary quality standards.

You will perform other various project support duties as requested by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project and production scheduling tools using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate project and production goals with management, engineers, operators, technicians, and vendors.
  • Analyze program budgets and spend plans, addressing concerns and communicating potential issues to management.
  • Analyze and present project and manufacturing performance data and conclusions to management.
  • Schedule, lead, and assist project and production planning meetings.
  • Review, compile, and distribute documents and status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure raw materials, intermediates, and products meet necessary quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated to engage with personnel.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, high motivation, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in reviewing technical data packages and engineering drawings.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Federal contract or facilities experience.
  • An active secret-level security clearance.
