Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital, adhering to policies and procedures approved by the Medical Director.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, making decisions that impact patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred qualifications include ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification.
