Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services to patients in various areas of the hospital.

Job Summary:

A Graduate or certified Respiratory Therapist who, under medical supervision, delivers respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures approved by the Medical Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver respiratory care services to patients in various areas of the hospital.
  • Work under medical supervision to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Adapt to the particular area assigned and perform special duties required by the assignment.
  • Supervise and be responsible for the work of other respiratory care practitioners.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service education responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory program
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment
  • Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS, PALS, or NRP
