Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services to patients in various areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital, following policies and procedures approved by the Medical Director.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, making decisions and adapting to changing situations.
  • Supervise and be responsible for the work of other respiratory care practitioners, as needed.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service education programs to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred qualifications: ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification.
