The Taxation Team Leader is tasked with delivering comprehensive tax planning, advisory, compliance, and consulting services to a varied clientele, including individuals, corporations, and non-profit organizations.

This role necessitates a robust understanding of multiple taxation domains, such as corporate, construction, non-profit, S-Corporation, individual tax returns, partnerships, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth client services.

Additionally, proficiency in tax software applications, including CCH Engagement, ProSystems Fx, and K-1 forms, is essential. The Taxation Team Leader should excel in tax research and possess the capability to mentor and cultivate junior staff.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations within the tax department, ensuring effective monitoring, scheduling, and supervision of team members.
  • Deliver tax planning, advisory, compliance, and consulting services to a diverse array of clients.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Assess tax scenarios to pinpoint potential challenges and propose solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth research to explore and analyze intricate tax matters.
  • Prepare tax filings for individual, corporate, and non-profit clients.
  • Guide staff on tax-related issues and offer insights on research methodologies.
  • Remain informed about evolving tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Experience with ultra-high-net-worth clients and their complex tax situations.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing a team.
  • Advanced expertise in current tax practices.
