About the Job

This Substance Abuse Counselor position entails providing substance abuse counseling and education in group and individual settings. The counselor is expected to engage directly with clients or their families, manage case assessments, and facilitate various therapeutic groups. Additionally, the role involves liaison work with referring agencies and community organizations to advocate for client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive substance abuse assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Deliver counseling and educational services to groups and individuals.
  3. Manage detailed client documentation and reports.
  4. Facilitate various therapeutic and educational groups.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of case management and client documentation.
  • Experience in group and individual counseling.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability of lecturing and giving presentations.
