This is a challenging opportunity to join Manson Construction Co. as a Dredging Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of our Project Management Team, working on various jobsite locations throughout the southeast United States.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite engineering and technical support, quality control, construction management assistance, land surveys, and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct hydrographic and beach/land surveys for construction management purposes.
- Offer technical support for equipment computer systems.
- Develop project work element plans and JSAs.
- Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors.
- Critical path scheduling and 3-week look-ahead scheduling.
- Review designs, drawings, and engineering data prepared by Manson consultants and vendors for conformance with project plans and specifications.
- Investigate and research needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools.
- Inspect newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements.
- Coordinate project activities with the client's representatives and other project stakeholders.
- Production monitoring.
- Monitor Manson and its subcontractors' operations.
- Daily operations and quality control reporting.
- Project photographic records.
- General project support.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management.
- Marine Construction or Dredging Industry experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
