Job Summary:

A Clinical Allergy Specialist at United Allergy Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the allergy center, administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, and providing patient-centered care to the communities served by our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and our clinical protocols.
  • Administers safe and effective immunotherapy processes, including quality allergy testing and formulation and preparation of allergy immunotherapy.
  • Educates patients on administering injections with immunotherapy and ensures timely follow-up and pickup of immunotherapy.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and verifies insurance eligibility for each patient.
  • Schedules patient appointments in person, via phone, or through our centralized scheduling protocols.
  • Handles and submits billing documentation to the applicable office via EMR systems.
  • Maintains and secures clinic inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of inventory.
  • Develops and maintains effective, professional relationships with providers and medical office staff.
  • Escalates patient or other questions to the appropriate team member or provider in a timely manner.
  • Meets strategic goals and objectives of the clinic and company related to assigned clinic productivity and revenue.
Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of full-time equivalent work experience in a healthcare, hospital, or nursing setting.
  • Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure suitable and complete results.
  • Computer experience required.
