REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified Clinical Support Specialist
MUST possess Certification or Registration
Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical support role
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records - EPIC EMR software is preferred
Ability to thrive in a Fast-Paced environment
Experience in Urgent Care settings is advantageous
Background in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine is beneficial

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clinical Support Specialist will be tasked with the following duties:
Report directly to the clinical coordinator or practice administrator
Execute nursing tasks under the guidance of a physician or physician assistant
Assist healthcare providers in examination rooms
Guide patients to examination rooms, conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and accurately document all information in patient records
Provide instructions to patients as directed by the physician or physician assistant
Ensure that all relevant reports, lab results, and information are available in the patient's medical records prior to their appointment
Maintain examination rooms with adequate medical supplies, oversee instruments, and prepare for sterilization as necessary
Handle telephone communications and provide responses to patient, physician, and pharmacy inquiries
Manage and relay messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
Keep all logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) up to date
Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical coordinator or practice administrator
