About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Welfare Supervisor to join our team at One Family Illinois (Formerly SOS Illinois). As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of quality services to our children, foster parents, and biological families.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise case management staff to ensure the delivery of quality services to our children and families.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure necessary services are provided to our children and families.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to case management staff.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation is maintained for all children.
  • Timely completion of all required paperwork, including DCFS forms.
  • Facilitate family and team meetings, and provide consultation to foster parents as needed.
  • Prepare monthly foster care agency performance reports, and meet with APT monitor monthly.
  • Monitor foster homes in accordance with DCFS 402 standards, and act as liaison to the DCFS Foster Home Licensing Agent.
  • Develop relationships and coordinate with DCFS, LANS, and other community agencies to maximize available resources.
  • Prepare for and attend required case meetings, ACRs, court dates, and staffing as required.
  • Submit reports as required by the Director of Programs and Services.
  • Maintain communication with other staff to ensure coordination of efforts.
Requirements
  • Must have a strong understanding of child welfare services and policies.
  • Must have excellent supervisory and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
