Sous Chef Position at a Seasonal Cuisine Restaurant

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Sixty Vines Woodlands, LLC. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using seasonal ingredients.
About the RoleThe Sous Chef will report directly to the Chef Partner and will be responsible for executing menu items within designated times, ensuring that all food products have been prepared correctly after cooking, plating, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food items according to given recipes and ensure high-quality presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations and local standards.
- Store and receive products in accordance with local health regulations.
- Clean and organize walk-in, dry storage, and freezer areas regularly.
- Operate and use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
- Able to read and understand tickets, including menu items and modifications.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Properly use knives and other equipment required for tasks.
- Maintain current Food Handler's Certification and practice proper sanitation procedures.
- Flexible schedules available.
- Insurance offered after 60 days, with minimum average hours requirement.
- 5 days of paid time off (PTO) after one year and meeting minimum average hours worked requirements.
- Average hourly wage: $14-18/hour.
- Quarterly wine country trips.
- Ongoing WSET/Sommelier certification opportunities.
