About the Opportunity
Rush University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to join our faculty as a Clinical Neonatology Faculty member. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and contribute to the advancement of neonatal care through research and clinical practice.
About the NICU
Our 72-bed NICU is a single-roomed, state-of-the-art unit that provides advanced care for newborns ranging from extremely preterm to those with complex surgical needs. Our Neonatology Faculty are dedicated to providing exceptional care and are committed to advancing the field of neonatology through research and education.
Research Opportunities
We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests that align with our NICU Human Milk research team. Current areas of investigation include human milk science, lactation physiology, disparities in lactation outcomes, clinical, neurodevelopmental, and economic outcomes associated with human milk feedings for very low birth weight infants, donor milk, and maternal, infant, and milk microbiome.
About the Division
Our division is comprised of 12 Neonatologists at Rush University Medical Center and 4 Neonatologists at Rush Copley. We have a strong commitment to education and research, and our faculty members are actively involved in various research projects and educational initiatives.
Requirements
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist with a strong research background and a passion for teaching and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of research productivity and a commitment to advancing the field of neonatology.
