The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is proud to announce the opening of a new position as a Neurohospitalist in the distinguished Neurology Program.
This program is recruiting applicants interested in joining a team that is continuously growing and looking for the next clinical and research breakthroughs.
The neurohospitalists will have a team of residents to work with to provide care for both patients admitted to the general neurology inpatient service.
The successful candidate will have completed an ACGME-accredited neurology residency. Candidates with additional training or experience in hospital neurology or stroke are also welcome. Candidates should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology. This is a full-time faculty position.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent clinical care to patients admitted to the general neurology inpatient service
- Collaborate with a team of residents to deliver high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and utilization review initiatives
- Contribute to research and scholarly activity that advances the field of medicine
The Department of Neurological Sciences has over 100 faculty members, 12 sections, and research laboratories, as well as 25 APPs. The hospital has 603 beds, and the neurology department has general, epilepsy, neuromuscular, neuroimmunology, stroke, and neurocritical care inpatient and consult services.
Faculty members are actively engaged in clinical care, research, and education of 50 residents and fellows.
