Scope of WorkThe Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. The RN will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients.
- Partner with patients and families to develop teaching strategies and document education and learning in the health record.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, including CRRT and Hypothermia treatments.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
