Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant-Application Development to join our team at Visvero, Inc. This role requires a strong background in application development, with expertise in designing, writing, modifying, testing, and maintaining programs, scripts, and modules to meet changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, write, modify, test, and maintain programs, scripts, and modules to meet changing business needs.
  • Develop and publish database program script and test specifications.
  • Effectively utilize and optimize system resources to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to departmental Software Development Life Cycle standards.
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis, system enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Strategy and Business Analysis teams to understand requirements and business needs.
  • Prepare project estimates for design, coding, and testing, and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work as part of a team to document design specifications, test results, and perform design reviews and code reviews.
  • Keep abreast of advances and developing trends and standards in technology.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members to facilitate efficient and effective solutions.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and leader to department staff who are less experienced in relevant technologies.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level OnCall support on a rotational basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable technical/engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Team-oriented development experience in a relational database environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with programming languages (e.g., PERL, C, Python, Unix, Shell Scripting).
  • Experience with EAGLE Investment Systems (Eagle PACE, Eagle Star) is required.
  • Experience with ETL development (Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Data Stage, Oracle Data Integrator) is preferred.
  • Experience with database programming (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft TSQL) is preferred.
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (Waterfall & Agile) is desirable.
  • Experience with version control tool sets (e.g., Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Harvest) is preferred.
  • Experience in the Investment Management Industry and major data domains (Equity, Fixed Income, Security Master Positions & Lots, Trades, Corporate Actions, Prices/FX Rates, Cash Benchmarks) is strongly preferred.
