Become a vital part of our team at Spee-Dee Delivery as a CDL Class A Driver. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals. Your duties will include conducting pre-trip inspections, turning in pre-trip forms, and reporting any vehicle defects or accidents. You will also be responsible for washing the exterior of the tractor and equipment daily and maintaining all required certifications. In addition to your driving responsibilities, you will assist with other duties as necessary. If you have a valid CDL Class A driver's license and a good driving record, we encourage you to apply. You will also need to be 21 years of age, able to drive a manual transmission, and possess a doubles/triples endorsement. You will be required to pass a DOT physical and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50lbs repetitively. You will also be responsible for working with all types of freight, including hazardous materials, perishable food, and live animals.
