CDL Class A Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A driver to join our team at Spee-Dee Delivery. As a CDL Pick-Up Driver, you will be responsible for transporting parcels on an established route using a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical integrity
  • Load and unload freight, verifying documentation and completing necessary paperwork
  • Drive to shippers and terminals, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies
  • Wash and maintain the exterior of the tractor and equipment
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A license and good driving record
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission and possess a doubles/triples endorsement
  • Good customer service and organizational skills, with ability to work independently
  • Pass a DOT physical and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds repetitively
