Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our computational medicine lab at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in computer science, biomedical engineering, or statistics, and a proven track record of research in deep learning and medical imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and interpret generative deep neural networks (DNNs) for automating tissue-based analyses
  • Manage, process, and visualize high-parameter medical images and associated clinical labels
  • Train and validate interpretable DNNs for digital biopsies
  • Collaborate with the research team to publish research papers in top biomedical journals and machine learning conferences
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in computer science, biomedical engineering, or statistics
  • Strong knowledge of deep learning libraries and machine learning datasets
  • Experience in writing software in a team-oriented environment with version control, issue tracking, and code review
  • Track record of publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals or top machine learning conferences
