Position Overview:
As a Process & Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on enhancing production efficiency and quality. Your expertise will be essential in driving process improvements and supporting our manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Generate quotes based on customer inquiries and collaborate with sales and customer service teams.
  2. Develop routing operations and processes to fulfill customer specifications.
  3. Estimate time standards for precise quoting and scheduling on the production floor.
  4. Collaborate with machine operators to identify and implement process enhancements.
  5. Determine material specifications and requirements in partnership with Purchasing and Programming departments.
  6. Review and authorize all production orders.
  7. Collect data on machining speeds, feeds, and tooling needs for various materials.
  8. Document processes, prepare technical drawings, and create detailed work instructions.
  9. Develop CNC programs for lathes and milling machines.
  10. Design or assist in the design of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and specialized production equipment to meet customer needs.
  11. Prepare vendor and external service prints, including masking and racking details.
  12. Create in-process documentation and work instructions.
  13. Conduct audits of initial production runs to ensure routing accuracy and process capability.
  14. Adhere to the company’s quality management system.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  16. Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  17. Follow established company policies and safety regulations.
  18. Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  19. Maintain a clean workspace by applying 5S principles to minimize safety hazards.

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of vocational training in machine tool technology or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in machining and programming.
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders and maintenance instructions in English.
  4. Ability to document job times and statuses accurately.
  5. Effective communication skills for one-on-one interactions with colleagues and external contacts.
  6. Strong mathematical skills for data recording and conversion of measurements.
  7. Problem-solving skills to address practical challenges in varied situations.
  8. Ability to understand diverse instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic forms.
  9. Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  10. Familiarity with MS Office, JobBoss, MasterCam, and Solidworks is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
  1. Regularly required to stand and use hands for handling objects and tools.
  2. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  3. Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach overhead, climb, or balance.
  4. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  5. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
