Physician Assistant

CVS Health Careers is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing primary care services to patients of all ages. You will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems.
Responsibilities- Provide primary and family evidence-based care, inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients.
- Perform administrative duties, including opening and closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, and collecting payment.
- Be responsible for handling patient appointments, performing routine examinations, and ensuring positive patient health outcomes.
- Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health, and wellness programs.
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
- Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
- Prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic is preferred, but not required.
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
- Or in select states, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Master's Degree or equivalent experience together with Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role.
