Job Opportunity

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an academic endocrinologist.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows in endocrinology and related fields
  • Providing clinical services and patient care in endocrinology and diabetes
  • Conducting clinical and/or laboratory-based research in endocrinology and diabetes
  • Participating in departmental and institutional service activities
Requirements
  • MD or PhD degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism or relevant subspecialty
  • Licensed or license eligible by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in academic medicine and research
  • Strong clinical and teaching skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
