About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and networks.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Analyze Cyber Events: You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing cyber events and incidents within our information systems and networks.
  • Implement Security Systems: You will implement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment, directing equipment and software installation and calibration, and preparing preventive and reactive measures.
  • Verify Security Systems: You will verify security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
  • Maintain Security: You will maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures, conducting incident response analyses, and developing and conducting training programs.
  • Design and Develop Secure Systems: You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of secure systems, including DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired, which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience.
  • Certifications: One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associtate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Adminstrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, or Elastic Certified Obervability Engineer.
  • Experience: Fourteen (14) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Ten (10) years experience in system engineering/architecture. Ten (10) years experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality, etc. At least ten (10) years experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation. At least four (4) years of experience managing and monitoring large Cloud System.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
