Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Retina And Vitreous Center Of South. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and caregivers in a friendly and compassionate manner
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and review patient information for accuracy while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Collect payments and process medical records
  • Interact with patients in a positive and upbeat manner
  • Opportunity to cross-train as a back office clinical team member and/or billing office representative/coder

Requirements and Preferences:

  • AA or BS degree; preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; required
  • Two (2) years' previous customer service experience in a related supportive position preferred
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual/Spanish preferred
