About the Job

ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Specialist to join our team at our Autumn Ridge program in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to provide high-quality care and support to our clients with serious mental illness. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions
  • Performing housekeeping and preparing meals
  • Administering medication and keeping accurate clinical documentation

Responsibilities:

As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be an integral part of our direct care team, working closely with our clients to promote their physical and emotional well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support and care to clients with serious mental illness
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Preparing and serving meals, as well as maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Administering medication and monitoring clients' health and well-being
  • Keeping accurate and detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes and incident reports

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience working in a healthcare or social services setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications:

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
  • Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish
