Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to provide high-quality care and support to our clients with serious mental illness. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions
  • Performing housekeeping and preparing meals
  • Administering medication and keeping accurate clinical documentation

Responsibilities:

As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be an integral part of our direct care team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support and care to clients with serious mental illness
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Preparing and serving meals, as well as maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Administering medication and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Participating in therapeutic interventions and activities to support client recovery

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional)
  • A dedication to the well-being of each client and helping them meet their Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with clients, families, and other staff members
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and a safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

What We Offer:

ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Hourly wage: $22.00 per hour DOE/Credentials
  • Additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential
  • 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates
