Job Summary

The Technical Services Engineer II will serve as a technical liaison between customers, Field Sales, Inside Sales, Marketing, Quality, and the Engineering department, pertaining to both segments of the business – Marine and Commercial & Industrial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for Sales and customers regarding product applications and end-user needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, Engineering, Quality, and the Sales departments to ensure customer needs are being met.
  • Provide "front-end" RFQ/PO contract review for adherence to sales order contract requirements.
  • Coordinate Naval product shock and vibration qualifications and other approvals as needed.
  • Review revision updates to Naval drawings and evaluate all changes for engineering or manufacturing impact.
  • Address and resolve issues that may arise to fulfill Marine contract requirements, coordinating with other internal departments to find effective solutions.
  • Submit appropriate procedures, produce Marine contract deliverables/drawings, and assist Marketing with technical changes to literature.
  • Recommend and/or implement improvements to engineering procedures, workflow processes, or other internal processes for better efficiency.
  • Participate in conducting training sessions for internal team development or external customer product training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, mechanical preferred.
  • At least 8 years related experience and/or training. Knowledge of valves or process piping systems is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drawings is beneficial (SolidWorks preferred). SAP experience is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, excellent organizational skills, and detail-oriented. Must be proactive, self-motivating, and a team player.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for this position.
Work Environment

The work environment is usually quiet, and the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.
