Position Overview:


This role involves 233 working days and 13 paid holidays, with a standard work week from Monday to Friday, requiring a minimum commitment of 40 hours weekly.


The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the effective implementation of a Planned Language Approach (PLA) while serving as the agency's resource for dual language education. This includes supporting teaching practices that promote both English language acquisition and the continued development of home languages for dual language learners (DLL).

In this capacity, you will provide oversight and guidance in the Education service area, ensuring that educators deliver comprehensive educational services to all children enrolled in our programs. This includes supporting those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral support, health plans, and English language learners, fostering their social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development in a manner that aligns with the Head Start Performance Standards and Eleutah's policies.

You will functionally supervise Child Development Specialists and Instructional Coaches.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be bilingual in English and another language, as determined by the agency (English/Spanish preferred).


A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required, or a degree in a related field with equivalent coursework and relevant early education teaching experience.

Experience in supervising early childhood education programs is essential.

Experience working with diverse cultures is highly valued.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching methodologies.

Maintain interrater reliability in Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) and CLASS certification.

Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and coordinate operations in personnel supervision, communication, and budget management.

Cultural competence is necessary for effective interaction and relationship-building with individuals from various cultural backgrounds.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Conflict resolution skills are important.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to challenges with minimal supervision.


Proficiency in writing and speaking English in a professional manner is required to meet job expectations.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, community groups, and other related agencies.
