The Mobile Crisis Team is a trained multidisciplinary response team that provides crisis intervention services in a variety of settings including community locations where individuals live, work, attend school, engage in services, or socialize.

Crisis intervention services are designed to interrupt and ameliorate the crisis experience and include:

  • An assessment that is culturally and linguistically competent
  • The development of crisis diversion plans, safety plans, or relapse prevention plans
  • Support during and after a crisis
  • Coordination with, and referrals to, health, social, and other services and supports as needed, including peer/family support services

This is a per diem position with flexible scheduling options.

Available shifts are as follows:

  • Weekdays, 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM
  • Weekends and holidays, 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM

As a Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will provide psychotherapy and psychosocial rehabilitation counseling services to remediate psychiatric or substance use symptoms, resolve conflict, deescalate crises, monitor for and address high-risk behaviors, maintain stabilization following a crisis episode, and prevent escalation of behavioral health symptoms.

You will respond to adults and youth in crisis telephonically, or in-person as part of a two (2) person response team.

You will provide and perform clinical assessment and referrals to community-based programs when necessary.

You will maintain effective professional relationships with other service providers and community organizations in the interest of clients' and program goals.

You will participate in and complete all required training.

You will carry out agency policies and procedures.

This role requires a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) with at least two years of post-graduate mental health experience, including relevant experience providing crisis intervention support, transitional support, and care coordination.

The ideal candidate will be willing to participate in all required federal, state, county, and agency training, including Narcan administration, evidence-based assessments, person-centered, and trauma-informed approaches.
