Job Description

As an AP Clerk at BCforward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable process. Your primary responsibility will be to input and process large volumes of vendor invoices and internal vouchers into our PeopleSoft A/P module, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices and internal vouchers for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Work collaboratively with the AP team to resolve match exceptions and expedite processing and payments
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to processing deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Review vendor statements to ensure all invoices are addressed and communicate with vendors or internal departments as needed
  • Assist with audit and analysis of vendor and voucher information as required
  • Communicate with the AP Supervisor and other stakeholders on any ongoing issues or business-related matters

Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in accounts payable or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft (or other business ERP software)
  • Ability to comprehend, communicate, and respond to instructions and achieve deadlines
  • Effective organizational, analytical, quantitative, and business skills
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution; and/or experience with PeopleSoft FMIS systems
