Associate Director of Student Equity and Inclusion Position

Clark College is seeking a highly qualified Associate Director of Student Equity and Inclusion to join our team. This is a full-time, grant-funded position in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) department. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Student Equity and Inclusion and contribute to student success, retention, and completion by focusing on supporting equity at Clark College.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic goals, guidance, and advocacy to improve student success and eliminate barriers to educational access.
- Direct the work of a full-time Program Manager and oversee the diversity outreach program.
- Collaborate with the ODEI leadership, instructional and student affairs partners to define and establish a program on diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism for students.
- Represent Clark College at Multicultural Student Services Directors' Council (MSSDC) and other organizations.
- Lead and implement new or existing department programs and/or projects, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities Pathway and others.
- Organize and manage Listening Sessions for the college community, analyze results from students, and implement solutions and programming to assist with campus climate for students.
- Manage and update the ODEI website in collaboration with department staff.
- Serve as an integral and engaged planning team member of the annual Northwest Regional Equity Conference (NWREC), actively participate in the facilitation of sessions, sub-committee meetings, and planning sessions, and fundraising activities.
- Oversee and support the implementation of student programs, events, and activities sponsored by ODEI and/or community partners.
- Plan, develop, and perform outreach initiatives to students, community partners, and resources.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Equity and Inclusion on compliance reporting (as related to DEI legislation) and ensure reports are completed on-time and accurately and proper accountabilities and follow-up actions are defined and followed.
- Lead, assess, and implement culturally relevant, student-centered identity services in collaboration with the Director of Student Equity and Inclusion and campus partners.
- Provide culturally relevant, student-centered, identity-based resources and services to help students achieve their social and educational goals.
- Create department activity tracking and assessment systems in collaboration with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Support Revised Code of Washington (RCWs) related to equity and access in higher education and diversity, equity, and inclusion, and anti-racism training and assessments.
- Create, implement, assess, and report program goals, objectives, and outcomes, and ensure data-informed practice.
- Align all program activities with the college's Strategic Plan, department goals, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent administrative experience.
- Two years' experience in academic advising, education leadership, student affairs, or a related area in post-secondary education.
- One year's experience supervising full-time staff.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating across an organization to develop, deliver, and/or assess initiatives or programs that support student success.
- Demonstrated ability to practice equity-mindedness in decision-making, relationship-building, and communication.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to and understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion and commitment to model inclusive behavior.
- Experience with student-centered diversity programming.

Salary/Benefits: Salary Range: $72,687-$84,163 annually (commensurate with qualifications and experience). Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
