Job Title: Firefighter/Paramedic

Job Summary:

The Firefighter/Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and fighting fires. This is a physically demanding position that requires individuals to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, see, and complete repetitive motions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
  • Fight fires and perform fire suppression activities
  • Operate fire and medical equipment and apparatus
  • Maintain fire-fighting and paramedic certifications
  • Educate the community on fire safety and first aid procedures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Texas Commission on Fire Protection Firefighter (Structural) Certification
  • Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) Paramedic Certification or License
